A lecturer, pedagogical supervisor, former department chair in the English Department at Sakhnin Teacher’s College and a board member of the TEC center. She has chaired the TEC International TEC Online conference for five years. Furthermore, she is an expert in using digital tools in teaching and executing collaborative learning strategies in an online multicultural environment. Furthermore, she developed two MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) in Arabic and English. She was a member of various EU Tempus and ERASMUS+ projects. She received a couple of Mofet and Fulbright research grants. Her primary research areas are Intercultural exchanges, changing attitudes, intergroup dialogues, and online collaborative learning.
Prof. Miri Shonfeld – Head of the TEC center
Professor Shonfeld is the head of the Technology, Education, and Cultural Diversity (TEC) Center at MOFET Institute. She is an associate professor at the graduate program in Technology in Education at Kibbutzim College of Education in Tel-Aviv. She was the head of ICT at Kibbutzim College of Education and forum coordinator of ICT managers. She was involved in writing national and international position papers. Her research deals with intercultural education, online learning environments, collaborative work, and faculty development. She edited a book about collaborative learning in a global world and wrote numerous articles about online learning, collaborative learning, virtual worlds and intercultural education. She received with co-founders of TEC the unity award in 2018 for the TEC center from the president of Israel and from the Ministry of education for the unique pedagogical initiative in 2013 and a prize for outstanding educational project for tolerance in 2010.
Dr. Elaine Hoter
Dr. Elaine Hoter has been a pioneer in online collaborative learning since 1995. She is a senior lecturer at Talpiot College in Holon, Israel. In 2001 she organized and led the first online international conference for teacher educators. She jointly established the Center for Technology Education and Cultural Diversity (TEC) in 2005 in Israel which has become the leading organization for intercultural education in higher education and schools in Israel. Today she is at the forefront of innovative pedagogy in education in particular the development and research of the metaverse for education. She is head of two MOOC projects, one on intercultural education and the other on advanced speaking and listening in English. Both these courses take place in virtual worlds. She has given lectures and workshops on every continent and is a Fulbright alumina.
Dr. Ilan Nagar
Excellent coordinator and time system manager at Givat Washington College. Dr. Nagar implements and integrates innovative pedagogy in various courses in the spirit of adapting the education system to the 21st century. Since 1991 he has been involved in the integration of computers in teaching – as a computer science teacher, a computer instructor at the Ministry of Education, as a lecturer in advanced teacher training courses and as a lecturer for the highest ranking teachers (7-9) As part of the “New Horizon” educational reform.
Wafa Zidan
Head of Digital Teaching and Learning Unit, at The Arab Academic College of Education in Israel-Haifa. She is a Lecturer in the field of ICT, computer science and research methodology, Internship workshop facilitator, a pedagogical trainer at the college, and online course developer.
Her research interests are, online teaching, implementing technology in education, developing, and implementing online courses, as well as the in the field of Internship and entry into teaching profession.
Dr. Revital Cohen Liverent
Dr. Revital Cohen Liverent – lecturer at the Ono Academic College. Former academic director of the BA in Education and Society on the ultra-Orthodox campuses at Ono Academic College , director of the master’s degree program in organization management and Education, Superviser of High schools ,Colleges and spacial programs on the Division for Vocational Training.
Member of the board at the TEC Center, lecturer in the Advanced Learning Environments course, holds a PhD in Business Administration and Information Technologies, and is a researcher in the field of Learning technologies, Virtual Worlds, visual methods, education and multiculturalism.
Howie Gordon
Holder of a M.ED degree in technology in education; Counselor for English teachers in the district of Jerusalem in digital tools to promote English teaching in classrooms; National guide for English teachers in the field of ICT and learning English through singing and movement; Pedagogical Advisor at David Yellin College; GOOGLE Certified Educator Level 2 and technical support for the TEC program of Machon Mofet
