פרופ’ זהבית גרוס הינה דיקן הפקולטה לחינוך וראש קתדרת אונסקו לחינוך לערכים, לסובלנות ושלום באוניברסיטת בר אילן. היא שותפה בארבעה מחקרים בינלאומיים  באירופה, קנדה, אוסטרליה, ניו זילנד, הונג קונג, בייגין, שנחאי וסינגפור.  היא מומחית לחינוך דתי, בינדתי חינוך לשלום והוראת שואה. ומחקריה מתמקדים בתהליכי סוציאליזציה ( דתית, מגדרית, לאומית ואזרחית) של מתבגרים בישראל ובעולם. מאמריה וספריה הרבים מתפרסמים בבמות אקדמיות יוקרתיות והיא מוזמנת להרצות באוניברסיטאות מובילות בעולם. היא  היתה הנשיאה של האגודה הישראלית לחקר החינוך ההשוואתי ICES – והיא  עמית מחקר כבוד באוניברסיטת סידני. היא זכתה במספר פרסים יוקרתיים על עבודותיה המדעיות  מהאגודה האמריקאית לחקר החינוך, מהאגודה לחקר החינוך המוסרי, פרס תקוה ישראלית מאוניברסיטת בו גוריון ופרס “אות הוקרה” מראש ממשלת ניו סאוט וואלס (NSW)  על תרומה יחודית לחקר החינוך הדתי בבתי הספר הממשלתיים באוסטרליה.  

 

أ.د. زهافيت غروس عميدة كلية التربية و رئيسة كرسي اليونسكو للتربية على القيم والتسامح والسلام في جامعة بار إيلان. وهي شريكة في أربع دراسات دولية في أوروبا وكندا وأستراليا ونيوزيلندا وهونغ كونغ وبكين وشنغهاي وسنغافورة. خبيرة في التعليم الديني، قامت بتدريس التربية للسلام وتعليم الهولوكوست. ويركز بحثها على عمليات التنشئة الاجتماعية (الدينية والجنسية والوطنية والمدنية) للمراهقين في إسرائيل وحول العالم. تنشر مقالاتها وكتبها العديدة على منصات أكاديمية مرموقة وهي مدعوة لإلقاء محاضرات في جامعات رائدة في العالم. كانت رئيسة الجمعية الإسرائيلية لبحوث التعليم المقارن ICES – وزميلة بحثية فخرية في جامعة سيدني. حصلت على عدد من الجوائز المرموقة لأعمالها العلمية من الجمعية الأمريكية لدراسة التربية، وجمعية دراسة التربية الأخلاقية، وجائزة الأمل الإسرائيلية من جامعة بو غوريون ، وجائزة “المذكرة” من رئيس وزراء جمهورية مصر العربية. نيو ساوث ويلز (NSW) لمساهمة فريدة في دراسة التربية الدينية في المدارس العامة في أستراليا.

 

Prof. Zehavit Gross is Full Professor and the  dean of Faculty of education , Bar-Ilan University, Israel. She holds the position of UNESCO Chair in Education for Human Values, Tolerance Democracy and Peace and is the head of the Sal Van Gelder Center for Holocaust Instruction ,Faculty of  of Education, Bar Ilan University, Israel. She is the past president of the Israeli Society for Comparative Education (ICES) and honorary research associate at the University of Sydney, Australia. She was the chair of the Religious and Education Special Interest Group at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) and at the EARLI and AERA. Her main areas of specialization are religious education, multicultural and intercultural education, peace education, and interfaith and Holocaust education. Her research focuses mainly on socialization processes (religious, secular, feminine and civic) among adolescents. Her recent ( 2021) publication published by Springer together with Suzanne Rutland is entitled  Special religious education in Australia and its value to contemporary society. She published extensively in top international journals and is the author and co editor of 13 books. She is  the recipient of the 2017 Distinguished Scholar Award from the Religion & Education SIG at the American Education Research Association (AERA) and also the 2022 NSW Premier Award of Australia  (A governmental award) for Outstanding Contribution to Religious Education in government schools in  Australia both in Theory and Practice.
